Our team is piecing together eco-printed and dyed patchwork set pieces for upcoming performance events, including oversized pillows and duvets. Explore various techniques for botanical printing on fabric and paper alongside plant gathering, environmental sound art, anthotyping, and short excerpts from the Listening in Relation reading group (which you can join, see our other events!). You can add a printed patch or two to our creations, or take your "makes" home to use in your own projects.

The Only Animal’s Slow Social Club offers soft tactics to remember and repair our relationships to place through slow, process-led artmaking. Each edition responds to local themes, materials and collaborators, and becomes a co-creation between The Only Animal and its communities. You can experience our growing textile installation at Slow Social events throughout the province. Attendees will interact with plants, eachother, human-made materials, and artistic practice to draw attention to the natural rhythms of the Winter season.
This work is made possible through The Only Animal's supporters, including The City of Vancouver, British Columbia Arts Council and the Vancouver Foundation.
