7 STORIES OF RISK from 7 Emerging Writer-Directors An Immersive Augmented Reality Experience Using our custom augmented reality app developed by Jesse Scott, participants have created an immersive site-based experience for audiences at the Vancouver Fringe Festival. Jumping off from the themes of courage and fear, each Writer-Director produced a short video-based piece that is integrated into the app. Viewers will be able to discover these stories at the Granville Island location during the Vancouver Fringe event. Content will also be available online after the event. Participants have attended a series of workshops taking them from concept to premiere. Led by Eric Rhys Miller, Artistic Producer of The Only Animal, with Tricia Collins (Access to Media Education Society) and Sophia Dagher as well as guest instructors. Worksop Topics included:
Augmented Reality, Site-Specific Creation, Writing, Storyboards, Planning A Shoot, Directing, Camera/Light/Lens Fundamentals, Production Design, Animation, Sound Design, Editing & Post-Production, Installation & Event Production.
